Breakfast Hosted for Longview ISD 2018 Great Rewards for Great Ideas Participants!

On Wednesday, February 7, Longview ISD hosted a breakfast for the  Longview ISD Foundation’s 2018 Great Rewards for Great Ideas recipients. At the breakfast, the Foundation announced funding for this year's grant cycle.

Grant winners received funding from the Longview ISD Foundation ranging from $100 to $2,500 for innovative classroom projects and programs that will enhance the quality of education for all students in Longview ISD.

This year the Longview ISD Foundation is funding 24 Great Rewards for Great Ideas grant totaling $44,817.74.  Since 1996, the Great Rewards for Great Ideas has funded 668 grants, returning $701,430.94 to LISD classrooms.  These grants have enhanced Longview I.S.D.'s academic programs as well as music, art, technology, counseling and guidance, health and physical education and character education programs. 

This year the Foundation is funding four Campus Initiative Grants totaling $19,324.60.  Since 2008 the Longview ISD Foundation has funded 32 Campus Initiative Grants for a total of $90,060.12
