2016/17 Hall Garden Received the Whole Kids Foundation Grant

2016/17 Teacher Symona Siqueiros received a Schools Plus Grant for creating the pollinator garden.

Workday July 6, 2017

Here are some suggested workday tasks and materials that John and FoodWhat WILL BRING
1's suggested higher priority than 2's

1. Weed whip all over (John to bring two BATTERY POWERED WEED WHIPS)
1. Trelis beans (John dropped off wire and bamboo poles, John will bring TWINE AND ZIP TIES)
1. Add 1/2 inch drip line irrigation hoops around each fruit tree, weed around each tree, lots of irrigation line at garden (John to bring ADAPTERS and  ENDS for tree drip line)
1. Change out DRIP EMITTERS on tree perennial border and weed around each perennial
1. Plant more perennials in the fence border and pollinator garden area

2. Trelis tomatoes with stakes and twine
2. Create pallet box around the irrigation area (JOHN TO BRING PALLETS AND SCREWS)
2. Paint bed number signs (John to BRING PAINT AND WOOD BLANKS) JOHN BRING PRINTED MAP
2. Set up seating area benches, plant bananas and tree dahlias around the area and irrigate
2. Move compost

2017 Spring / Early Summer Update

This spring / early summer irrigation systems were enhanced and added to areas with out irrigation.
A shed is on the way.
A youth workday is planned for July 6.
Grade level plantings were completed before the end of school. Map will be updated soon.
