MVE library is dedicated to helping all students develop a love for books and reading. Students come to library once a week for 50 minutes. Library lessons include introducing students to traditional folktales, popular authors, book series, and state award nominee books. Students practice alphabetizing, identifying main idea, characters, setting, parts of a book, and fiction/nonfiction.

As a parent, you can help your child develop a love of reading and books by modeling an enjoyment of reading and participating in RAFT (Reading And Families Together) nights. To help your child choose quality books to read, this site also contains various book lists.

You may also enjoy reading together at home on your computer, tablet or iPad through the library's subscription to TumbleBooks which gives our students students access to animated picture books, read-alongs, and e-Books.
Just click the TumbleBook Banner and enjoy.

REMEMBER STUDENTS MAY TAKE A TEST OVER ANY AR BOOK EVEN IF THE LIBRARY DOESN'T OWN THE BOOK.  Simply go to www.arbookfind.com and type in the title or author of the book to see if an AR test exists for the book.

I hope you enjoy the site and it helps you choose quality books for your child.
