Liberty High School Announcements

March 9th - 13th - No School - Spring Break
March 27th - No School - PDC Teacher In-Service

Sophomores ~ The South Central Career Center will be here March 19 at 9:00 a.m. to meet with all 10th grade students. 

The Busy Hands Workshop 5K Color Run/Walk will be May 2nd at 2:00pm. Registration forms are in the HS Office. Registration includes t-shirt, color bag, and sunglasses for $25. Forms need to be turned in by April 17th to receive Color Run items.

The Baseball team is selling Liberty Eagle Baseball apparel. If you would like to order, see any baseball player or there is an order form in the HS Office. Orders are due March 12th.

There will be no Student Council Meetings until further notice.

Evening alternative will be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 6:00 for the remainder of the school year.  Students may make up credits or hours during this time.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Orchard. 


Seniors~  New scholarship applications are available! 
The Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship is available to senior girls who are planning a career in education.  Applications are available outside the counselor's office and are due by April 1, 2015

The Mid-East Missouri Contractors Association scholarship application is available to students planning on majoring in a construction related field such as engineering.  Applications are available in the counselor's office and are due by April 1, 2015

The Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship application is available for seniors interested in pursuing a career related to banking.  Applications are due March 13, 2015

The M.U.S.I.C Scholarship is also available, but must be turned in by March 5.   Only one student can be nominated for this scholarship.  Applications are available outside the counseling office. 

Seniors ~ There are seasonal hiring opportunities at Ozark National Scenic Riverways for this summer. Duty stations for these jobs will be at Big Spring, Alley Spring, Round Spring and Shawnee Shop Roads/Trails. 

There is a flyer that provides details that relate to the duties of a Maintenance Worker/Trails WG-05.  It also includes requirements of the position, work periods, salary and directions for applying. Flyers are located outside the counselor's office. 

The announcements will be opening in the near future, so interested seniors are encouraged to go to the website provided and set up their USAJOBS account and profile.


Seniors~  Continue checking the scholarship page for updates on scholarships that are offered.  Links to online applications are also available.  Deadlines are quickly approaching!!! 
Please stop by the counseling office if you need help applying for colleges.  Also, transcript request forms are available outside the counseling office and must be filled out to complete the admission process for college.
