April 23-27 Full Day Friday
Community Service Project
  • Our 6th grade Junior Academy service project this quarter is to help Camp Able! We will be accepting donations for this group that provides opportunities for San Diegans with disabilities. Please see the flyer that went home Monday (also attached under my Flyers page) for what you and your student can donate!
Field Trip!
  • Permission slips went home on Monday for our upcoming trip to see the stage version of The Lion King on May 16. Please return these by May 4.
State Testing (CAASPP)
  • Sixth grade testing is coming up! It will be the week of May 7-10. Over the next two weeks, we will be going over all that we have learned this year, and additional practice is encouraged at home! This week, we will work on a math review packet.
Final Camp Payment and Health History Forms
  • The final payment and all paperwork is due on May 18. Your final balance will be communicated to you soon in writing. You may pay by cash, check, or on the LFCS ParentPay Store: http://www.lfcsinc.org/parentpay-store.php. If your child still needs to turn in the required pink health history form, one was sent home with the report card for your convenience. 
Literacy First Charter Schools presents Quantum Nights: A Parent Workshop: Develop Capacity & Ownership in our Children 
Wed., April 25, 4-6pm. This is a free event so come and join us! 

Schoolwide Performance :May 4th Liberty Academy will present our performance "SEIZE THE DAY" at the Junior Academy. Mark your calendars now for this family night of entertainment.
