First Grade students are getting crafty making Grandparents Day Cards for residents at local nursing home.




Second Grade students learn about having courage and standing up to bullies while acting out the story "One" by Kathryn Otoshi.  Students represented different colors in the story by wearing those color shirts. 




All students at Charles England signed the "United We Stand" Anti- Bullying banner for Unity Day.

Third grade students work collaboratively to research career interests on PAWS in Jobland.

Girls on the Run
is SO much fun! 
We will be starting our Spring Session of Girls on the Run 
Thursday February 18th.

In January we will discuss setting SMART goals.

For the month of December we discussed being gracious and how we can be kind to others. First Grade students made holiday cards for local nursing homes. 
November is Career Awareness Month! 3rd-5th Grade students will be researching careers of their choice. They will use the following website to gather their information:
1st and 2nd grade students will be doing various activities to explore different careers.

WELCOME BACK!
Our first few weeks will be about 
The Pledge for Success &
using our Self Control.
 
Schoolwide  Olweus Anti Bully rules. 
They are:
1. We will not bully others.
2. We will try to help students who are bullied.
3. We will try to include students who are left out. 
4. If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and at home.

We will continue to collect Box Tops for Education and Campbell's Soup labels. Please send them in with your student(s).

We will have  Girls on the Run starting in January 2016. This is a fitness and self-esteem building program for 3rd-5th grade girls. Registration fee's are income based (on a stair step plan). Eligible girls will bring home additional information in September with payment plan options.
