Columbia SC Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.- $1,000 Scholarship to a High School senior planning to attend a college or university; $1,500 scholarship to a senior planning to major in the arts; and $500 scholarships to non-graduating high school students participating in Summer Enrichment scholastic programs. J.P Coates/ SCEA–Retired Scholarship- $1,000 scholarship awarded to a student with at least a 3.0 GPA who are interested in majoring in education and demonstrates leadership abilities; Applications in Guidance. Deadline: March 15, 2014.

AHS Education Foundation Scholarship- $750 Scholarships awarded based on number of applicants. Applications in Guidance. Deadline: March 27, 2014. (Students may only apply to one of the three educational foundation scholarships.) 
    Justin Hooks Memorial R.O.T.C. Educational Foundation Scholarship– one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a senior with at least two years 
    R.O.T.C. Completed Application, personal statement, and recommendations. Deadline: March 27, 2014. 

    Richard Cribb Memorial Educational Foundation Scholarship—$1,000 scholarship available to technology completers (students who have taken        occupational credits within the same career path). Deadline: March 27, 2014. 

Lexington County Education Association-Retired (LCEA-R) Scholarship— $750 scholarship to a senior who is planning to pursue a career in education; Leadership, financial need, and academics; Essay 250-300. Applications are available in Guidance. Deadline April 1, 2014. 

Student-View™ Scholarship- $10,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors across the state. Application at www.student-view.com. Deadline: 
April 20, 2014.

USC Alumni Legacy Scholars - Must have a parent, grandparent, or guardian as an active member of the USC Alumni Assoc. and apply for admission to USC. Application online at www.MyCarolina.org/scholarships. Deadline: April 1, 2014. 

Nathan M. Wolfe Law Cadet Academy—Cadets must be rising seniors; Additional fees are involved. Application and information can be found at www.scarolinalegion.org under the program link—Law Cadet. Deadline: May 1, 2014.

Woman’s Club of West Columbia – $1,000 annual scholarship to a senior from Lexington school District Two; Plans to attend an accredited college/university; Financial Need; Letter of Recommendations; Deadline: May 6. Applications are in Guidance. 

Sinclair Masonic Lodge – Senior with plans to attend college in the call of 2014; $250 scholarship for interested students who have demonstrated commitment to service, academic success, financial need; personal essay; Student may attend either AHS or BCHS; Interview process. Deadline: 
March 31. Applications are in Guidance.

SC Coaches Association of Women’s Sports – Annual scholarships offered to an incoming female college freshman from SC (one majoring in Education and one in Medical); Recommendation Forms from (2) teachers & counselor; Essay; must be an eligible high school participant on 9one or more athletic teams. For more information, visit www.sccaws.org – under “scholarships”. Lexington Medical Center Summer Junior Volunteer Program – Students between the ages of 14 – 17 are encouraged to apply for the eight week summer program. The summer program will run from June 6 – August 8, 2014. Applications are located at www.lexmed.com. If you have any questions or need further information, please call the Volunteer Office at 791.2573. 

Planning on majoring in Nursing? Charleston Southern is offering a Summer Bridge Program. Students must complete the Summer Bridge Program requirements before entering into the Nursing Program – once the program is completed, a student can start the Nursing Program during the spring of their freshman year without having to wait. Airport High School Eagle Club Scholarship – Senior who has varsity experience in a sport offered at AHS; Accepted to attend a 2 or 4 year college/university. Applications are available in Guidance. Deadline: April 25, 2014.


The Katrina Shealy Scholarship - $500 - $1,000 scholarship to a senior who attending a college/university in SC. Students should be active in their school and community, and have a strong academic record. Applications are available in Guidance. Deadline: April 22, 2014.


BI-LO/Columbia Urban League Scholarship – Seniors; Copy of acceptance letter including current photograph, copy of parents current 2013 tax returns; Academic, extracurricular activities, and community involvement; Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Blue Cross Blue Shield of SC Columbia Urban League Scholarship - $2,500 scholarship is award each year to a graduating African-American high school senior who resides in Richland, Lexington, and other counties. Applicants must have been a participant in the Columbia Urban League Program; 3.0 GPA; SAT/ACT scores; documentation of community service and service projects; financial need; and accepted by an accredited college/university; Essay. Applications are in Guidance. Deadline: April 30, 2014.


WWDM Brenda Jones Memorial Scholarship 2014 - $2,500 scholarship is award each year to a graduating African-American high school senior who resides in Richland, Lexington, and other counties. Applicants must have been a participant in the Columbia Urban League Program; 3.0 GPA; SAT/ACT scores; documentation of community service and service projects; financial need; and accepted by an accredited college/university; Essay. Applications are in Guidance. Deadline: April 25, 2014.


Lexington County Law Enforcement Officers’ Association Scholarship - A $1,000 scholarship for graduating seniors currently attending high school within the Lexington County area. Seniors attending an institution at a two or four year college/university; Complete an entry form and essay -judging will be based on creativity, organization, documentation, research, grammar, spelling, neatness and accuracy.  Applications are available in Guidance. Deadline: April 30, 2014.


Beta Chi Sigma Chapter (Columbia Alumni) Of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. – Offering a $1,000 scholarship to a African-American or Latino male, high school senior who will be entering college in the fall of 2014. Academics and demonstrates a financial need; Essay and letters of recommendation. Applications are available in Guidance. Deadline: March 30, 2014.
