Lexington School District Two is applying for funding under the South Carolina 21st Century Community Learning Centers Fund.  This announcement serves as public notice of the district's intent to apply.  Our application is aimed at expanding services to serve elementary students in selected schools in our district.  Click the link above for more information and official memo.

On behalf of the Lexington School District Two Board of Trustees, this is to notify you that we are in negotiations with the City of Cayce regarding extending the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Intergovernmental Agreement. This letter is to express our support for the proposed TIF extension, which we believe will benefit Lexington School District Two, the entire Cayce / West Columbia area, and Lexington County.

We are planning to formalize Lexington District Two’s participation with the City of Cayce in the TIF at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Please make note of the following calendar updates
  • Monday, January 16th Lexington Two will observe MLK Day.
  • Early Release and Late Starts have been suspended through the month of January and will begin again February 1st. Thus, Wednesday, January 18th and Wednesday,25th will be regular school days.
  • Monday, February 20th will be a weather make-up day due to Hurricane Matthew. Schools will operate on a regular schedule.
  • Monday, May 29th will be a weather make-up day due to Hurricane Matthew. Schools will operate on a regular schedule.

Attention Parents/Guardians of:
Rising 4K, 5K, and 1st grade students

Registration for the 2017-2018 School-year begins
You MUST have the following information at the time of registration:
· Child’s Birth Certificate (long form required)
· Child’s Immunization Certificate
· Two Proofs of residence (one utility bill and a lease/mortgage)
· Proof of income for full-day 4K only
(acceptable forms of proof-child’s Medicaid card, parent/guardian’s pay stub or income tax information)


1. Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2017.
2. Family Income MUST meet Federal Free & Reduced Lunch Guidelines for full-day 4K programs only.

4K Screenings will take place in May & June


Free & Reduced Lunch Information
A new application is required each school year. Applications are available at the front office of the school, or you can complete the application online by visiting www.paypams.com/onlineapp. You will need your Student’s ID number, as well as the ID#’s for any other children you have in the district. Student ID#s are located on interims and report cards, or you may call your school’s front office, cafeteria or the district office at 803-739-4010. The deadline for new applications for the 2016-2017 school year is September 30th. You are responsible for paying for any charges accrued until your application is approved.  If you have additional questions regarding the application process, please call the Food Service Office at 739-8381 for assistance.

The SC Education Oversight Committee is a nonpartisan group of 18 educators, business people, and elected officials appointed by the governor and SC legislature to enact the SC Education Accountability Act of 1998 (http://www.eoc.sc.gov/Home/1998%20Education%20Accountability%20Act.pdf). The EOC is currently seeking public input on the recommendation to merge the state and federal accountability systems beginning with the 2017-18 school year.
