Busbee Creative Arts Academy
Our dance program at BCAA explores a wide range of dance including creative movement, improvisation and dance technique.
BCAA Dance Program
The seventh and eighth grade dance classes explore several dance techniques including: Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Lyrical. The students are expected to learn choreographed movement phrases, perform technique and choreograph their own dance composition. The seventh and eighth grade dance classes are performing classes and will perform in various dance showcases throughout the school year.
The sixth grade dance classes focus on the four elements of dance: body, space, dynamics and relationships. The students will be expected to learn choreographed movement phrases, improvise and create dances based on shapes and levels. The sixth grade classes will perform in an informal performance for parents and fellow sixth graders at the end of each nine weeks.
