Here are some things that are important for all students at Seven Oak Middle School.
I enjoy giving advice to students about how to do better in science class. Besides checking the syllabus, read these tips below.
IDEAS FOR WORD WALL:
You can print the vocabulary list and highlight important words
You can write words and draw pictures about what they mean. You could also find pictures online.
You can read the definitions out loud to your friends or family
You can brainstorm examples and non-examples for the words
IDEAS FOR NOTES:
You can choose a notes format that works for you from these choices
You can print the notes and highlight important words
You can shorten the notes by writing down one thing per slide
On Thursdays, you should summarize, highlight, and annotate your notes to review
IDEAS FOR LABS:
You can use your notes to help build reasons for your hypothesis
You can draw and label what your lab will look like to check your steps and scientific variables
You can design data-collection tools like tables before hands-on work
If you are absent for a lab, you can complete it on Thursdays
IDEAS FOR WRITING:
You can practice writing a paragraph about a study guide topic
You can begin with the scenario on the test or with words you know
You can complete a few sentences and I'll suggest what to write next
If you are absent for a writing task, you can complete it on Thursdays
Retake these for higher scores
