About the Carthage Free Library Public Computing Center

Our Computing Center is one of thirty libraries selected for the Broadbandexpress@yourlibrary  project.  We are funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the Broadband Technology Opportunity Program (BTOP).   Our PCC conducts digital literacy and job readiness classes, individual assistance and outreach to the Carthage community and Jefferson and Lewis Counties. We offer a variety of classes in Basic Computers, Web Navigation, Social Networking, Software Application, Resume and Cover Letter Writing and Interviewing.  Curriculum is designed to be hands on and user friendly so students will have the confidence to master basic computer and job readiness skills. During our Career and Computer Assistance hours, we offer individual assistance with career, computer and internet related questions.  We offer assistance with resume development, job searches and online applications.  Our goal is to help students successfully apply for positions in the 21st century job market.   Finally, we offer professional development workshops to local businesses and not for profit organizations.  To see our monthly classes, click on the calendar link or download our monthly bi-fold from below.
