High School Photography

An opportunity to explore your creative side; to delve into history; to view the world through a lens; to create, push the limits, and express yourself in a new way.  You will be required to read, write, take photographs, edit, critique, and think in this class.  You will be expected to share, collaborate, and respect others and their work.  You are responsible for communication with your teacher as well as your classmates.

This class meets the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) graduation requirement for a high school diploma as well as the "f" UC/CP requirement.
Selfie of the family under an amazingly tall redwood. They are super silly and get tired of us always saying, "wait, let's get a picture..."

Meet Mrs. Granger...

Who am I? I have been a teacher at The Learning Choice Academy since we started in 2004.  I have been in the teaching profession since 2000-yes-I have been teaching longer than you have been alive!

I love to travel and go on adventures with my family.  This last summer we spent two weeks traveling in Northern California.  We spent a few days in Sequoia National Park where we saw the largest trees in the world, a week in Redwoods State and National Parks where we saw an array of flora and fauna, and a few days in Monterey exploring the coastline and the aquarium.  It was an unforgettable trip!  I also love to cook for my family, garden, hike, and I am a huge DIYer.   I am also currently in the second year of my Master's program.

My hubby is Jason.  He's a great guy who spends any of his free time in the ocean surfing or fishing.  He's a great daddy to our two boys.  Tyler is our ten year old.  He is an awesome kid who loves to swim, build with Lego bricks,  play the clarinet, and read.  Nathan is my seven year old who loves to run, copy his big brother, build with Lego bricks, and snuggle.  He is my little love bug.

I'm excited to teach photography this year.  Here's to the new school year!
