What is GOALS?
GOALS is an inclusion-oriented behavior support continuum for students in Special Education. The purpose of GOALS is to facilitate the development of age-appropriate skills required for success in the school setting. The key components are social skills, study skills and behavior support. GOALS provides a continuum of positive behavior supports that are individualized to each student's needs. The focus is on positive interactions with students in order to develop skills in the areas of collaborative problem solving, organization, self-advocacy, and positive peer interactions.
