Leander ISD  Vision

"Students will exit our system with the same passion for learning they had when they entered our system, without economics determining success."

We want every option open for each of our students.

Professional Information

I am entering my 20th year in education and my 18th year working in Leander ISD.  After teaching secondary language arts at the middle school and high school level for 10 years, I moved to central office and worked as a secondary language arts facilitator for five years and in the staff development department for four years.  I am excited to now be in the role of assistant principal and back on a campus working directly with teachers and students again.  As an administrator, I am looking forward to working with our sixth grade students, parents, and the faculty of RBMS this year!  Please feel free to contact me at any time through email at jennifer.stewart@leanderisd.org or by phone at 512-570-1336.

I actually graduated from Leander High School in 1992 and ended up marring my high school sweetheart.  We just celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary.  I received my bachelors degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and my masters from Concordia in Austin.  After teaching in the Dallas area for five years, my husband, Kyle, and I decided to move back to Austin to be closer to family.  We have a twelve year old son who is a black belt in martial arts, enjoys playing football, and is an avid reader.  My favorite hobbies include reading, watching movies, taking vacations, exercising, and  visiting with family and friends.  My husband is a computer technician at a law firm and enjoys fixing up old cars, woodworking projects, playing disc golf, and fishing.
