I am so excited to be a part of your child's future and to be a #reaganrays. I have been teaching in Leander since 2005.  I have two daughters, Cadyn, attending Henry Middle School, and Austin that will come to school with me here at Reagan.

A little about me:
  • I love technology and welcome it into my classroom. Students are digital natives and need to be taught how to use technology as a resource and be a good digital citizen.  I have had technology in my classroom since 2006 (1st generation iPods...and not iPod Touch)
  • Favorite NFL team: Houston Texans!  Favorite college team: University of Texas
  • I am bilingüal in Spanish.  I am Cuban and Puerto Rican. My mom lived through the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missle Crisis. My grandfather worked for the US Embassy and snuck my mom and uncle out of Cuba when my mom was only 11.  She gained her US Citizenship when she was 18.  She STILL has an accent!
  • I love to eat sushi. It's my favorite! What is weird about that is that I didn't start eating fish until I was 30 and now I eat it raw! Uchiko is my favorite restaurant, but Soto at Lakeline and Sushi Fever here in Cedar Park are pretty amazing too!
  • I have one younger brother that moved to Los Angeles in June 2014.  He is 4 1/2 years younger than me.
  • I'm a dog lover.  I have Buddy, a chocolate lab born in 2012.
  • My family lives in a house that we built in May 2014. We have a gate at our fence that goes straight to my in-laws' house! Yes, we are connected!
  • I love the smell of vanilla, cotton candy, birthday cake..the sweeter the better. I do NOT like the smell of cinnamon, pumpkin, or any spice...as a candle/wax.  I do like the smell as food though!
  • I am bad at checking voicemails.  I'm trying to get better. I will respond quicker to texts (from Class Messenger) and emails than voicemails. I am Generation X but sometimes function as a Millennial. :)
