Dan Sullivan- Performing Arts Teacher


Mr. Sullivan has been teaching Performing Arts at Parkside Elementary since it opened in 2008. He received his B.A. in Theatre Performance from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Prior to teaching at Parkside, Dan spent six years teaching Theatre Arts at Chisholm Trail Middle School in Round Rock ISD. He is a 25+ year veteran of stage, film, TV, and satellite radio. Dan has performed locally at The Paramount Theatre, The Cactus Cafe, The Zachary Scott Theatre, Zilker Summer Theatre, and The Saxon Pub. For over a decade, Dan has performed and toured the United States with his award-winning acoustic duo, The Detentions.

Dan currently lives in Cedar Park with his wife and daughter.


LISD Elementary Performing Arts Vision Statement

In the LISD Elementary Performing Arts class, the students will engage and explore the performing arts while building an appreciation for theatre and music.









The performing arts engage and motivate all students through active learning, critical thinking, and innovative problem solving.
 
Students develop aesthetic and cultural awareness through exploration, leading to creative expression.
