Welcome to 3rd Grade!

My name is Christine Schram and I am very excited to be teaching third grade at Westside Elementary School!  I love teaching the inquisitive, energetic and creative kids that live in the Cedar Park/Leander area.  I've been with Leander ISD since spring 2006.  I spent my first six years teaching second and third grades at Giddens Elementary School and last year made the move to Westside!

I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree from Michigan State University and my Master's of Education degree from Ferris State University.

My son Zach and I live in Leander and are huge fans of the Michigan State Spartans!  Go Green!  In my spare time I enjoy traveling, photography, spending time outside, teaching at my church, and hanging out with my friends, family, and son!

Third grade is a special year for students.  It is a year of many firsts. I feel blessed to be part of this year.  I believe education is a group effort.   If you ever have questions or concerns please contact me via email at christine.schram@leanderisd.org or phone at 512-570-7000 x 47046.

Birthday Celebrations!
Your child's birthday will be recognized over the announcements/assembly and he/she will be given a spirit key chain with a Happy Birthday patch.

We encourage parents to celebrate their child's birthday with non-food items.  Examples, but not limited to, are:  Hawaiian leis, pencils, erasers, Marti Gras beads, Oriental Trading trinkets, purchase something for the classroom like a piece of recess equipment to be used by the class or a book for the classroom library.  We would like to refrain from food treats due to food allergy concerns, different views on foods kids are allowed to have and to keep our school clean.
