Hello my name is Dawn H. Davis and I teach 7th grade science.  I look forward to having your child in my classroom. I have a passion for science that changes as new discoveries in science are made. I enjoy the hands-on/minds-on aspect of science and I hope to share my enthusiasm with my students as they make their own discoveries.

This will be my twelfth year teaching science in Leander. I earned my undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin (Go Longhorns!), and a Master’s degree in Education from Texas State University.

In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family as well as my two cats. I also enjoy reading, geocaching, kayaking, hiking, star gazing, jewelry making, fostering animals, traveling, and bug watching/collecting. I am also a member of the National Science Teachers Association so I can gain and share ideas with teachers across the country. I have a personal desire to grow and continue learning so I do my best to keep up with and understand the latest discoveries in science.

Please feel free to email me if you have questions or comments. I have a very important 'H' in my name. I am the second Dawn Davis in the district so please remember the 'H' when you email me. dawnH.davis@leanderisd.org
