Field trip permission slips went home 5/16.  A copy of the permission slip can be accessed here. The second page needs to be completed by a parent/guardian and returned to your child’s science teacher by 5/25. Don’t forget to indicate at the bottom of the form whether or not you wish to order a sack lunch from the cafeteria. Students may purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria, bring a lunch from home (non-perishable or is in a lunch box with an ice pack), or bring money to purchase food from the snack bar at Mel’s.

 

We would love to have parent volunteers! Visit http://stiles.my-pta.org/content.asp?PageID=2 to access the online sign-up schedule to sign up for a volunteer time. All volunteers must be LISD approved volunteers. See the PTA Volunteer page for information about becoming an approved LISD volunteer. Your child wrote his/her group number and circled the times he/she will be at Mel’s and San Gabriel Park on the first page of the permission slip handout. Group 1 is at Mel’s from 10-12 and San Gabriel Park from 12-2. Group 2 is at San Gabriel Park from 10-12 and Mel’s from 12-2. Volunteers will be assigned a specific area (ex. lanes, arcade, basketball court, etc.) for their time slot and details will be explained by either Mrs. Cook (Group 1) or Mrs. Killian (Group 2) when you arrive at Mel’s and/or San Gabriel Park.

 

We are also asking for donations of cases of bottled water and individually packaged snacks (goldfish, pretzels, etc.). Visit http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a49a4aa2dabfa7-endofyear to sign up.  All donations should be labeled 6th grade field trip and dropped off in the front office.
