Mrs. Ernst's 3rd Grade Class Website

Welcome! I am really excited to start the 2016-2017 school year with you and your student. A little about me…I am happily married to my best friend Jason (he was an LISD student K-12), together we have a 3 year old daughter named Rachel and a Catahoula named Bren. I am a graduate of the University of Houston with a BS in Human Nutrition and Foods. I taught maternal and pediatric nutrition for 3 years with the Women Infants and Children Program (WIC) through the City of Austin and was a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Hill Elementary in AISD. During my time at Hill I received my Alternative Teacher Certification for Elementary Education and ESL. When I am not at Westside I am out riding horses, cooking, watching my University of Houston Cougars dominate in college football, or hanging out with my family on a greenbelt or at Deep Eddy pool! I am so excited to be at Westside Elementary teaching 3rd grade. Please don’t hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns you may have during the course of the school year, I am here to help! Lets make this a great 2016-2017 school year together.
