Year at a Glance 2016-2017 - This shows specific skills for each unit of study this year.

My class is a balanced literacy design.  We will read to write and write about reading!  Students will set goals, practice in a variety of ways until mastery is shown, have the freedom to work independently on skills needed, work collaboratively with peers, and enjoy the freedom of choice to own their learning.  We will read books together, with small groups, and independently throughout the year.  Students are expected to always have a book with them to read!
