Math: Special Education

About Me

I am thrilled to be starting my seventh year in a teaching role at CPHS in the special education department as a math teacher. I am teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, and Math Models in the special education setting. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas Tech University and a Masters of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas. I worked as a librarian in public libraries in the Dallas area for several years until I resigned to raise my children. I began substitute teaching approximately 11 years ago and received my teaching certification in 2013. I have been a middle school social studies inclusion teacher and an Instructional Assistant in the ASPIRE behavior program at CPHS.

I grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from Plano East Senior High School. I continued to live in the Dallas area with my family until we moved to Cedar Park in 2010. I love this area, and I only wish we had come here sooner! I am married and have two children, a daughter who graduated from CPHS in 2020 and is starting her fourth year of college at Texas State in the fall and a daughter starting 12th grade here at CPHS. I enjoy reading, video games, and crochet.
