Class Rules and Procedures

1. Arrive to class everyday with all of your materials; be in your seat and working on the warm-up before the bell rings.

2. Respect is expected at all times and is necessary to have a positive learning environment.

     The following guidelines will help enforce a respectful classroom:

• • Listen to the teacher/others while they are speaking

  • Raise your hand and wait to be called on before speaking

  • Use a respectful tone of voice at all times

  • Do not use offensive language or make offensive statements

  • When using classroom materials put them away when you are done

3. If you need to sharpen your pencil, use the bathroom etc. please use the Survival List and ask in Spanish.

4.Use of electronic devices is limited to teacher-sanctioned educational activities. Students must follow district acceptable use guidelines.  As per school policy, phones are not allowed in classrooms.

5. Water is allowed in class as long as it is not a distraction to you or other students in class.  No other food or drinks are permitted.

**By following these rules everyday, together we can create the optimum learning  environment that is fun and effective.

Consequences for not following policies and procedures

• 1. First you will receive one verbal warning.

  2. If I need to warn you more than once, you will earn a detention. This may either be a lunch D-hall or after school depending on the severity.

  3. Upon a third warning or consistent disregard for the policies and procedures, there will be a phone call home as well as an after school detention.

  4. A Referral will be written if the above consequences have not encouraged you to follow the guidelines.
