Welcome to the 2017/2018 school year! I’m so excited to be your child’s second grade teacher!

My name is Casey Lindbloom and this will be my  third year teaching at Steiner Ranch Elementary School. I am a graduate of Tarleton State University. I hold my Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and am certified to teach early childhood to eighth grade. This will be my tenth year of teaching. I’ve taught first, second and third grade. Most of my experience has been in second grade.

I grew up in a small town close to San Antonio so I feel like I am finally coming home living in the Austin area. I have a son named Stone who is in second grade here at Steiner Ranch Elementary. In my spare time I love to spend time with my son, read, listen to all kinds of music, try new foods, run, ride horses, and bow hunt. I am very passionate about teaching.

My goal is to create a safe and positive learning environment for your child where they’re encouraged to tackle new challenges, take risks, and make mistakes. I would like to inspire your child and instill in them a love of learning.

Our open house will be on Tuesday, August 31st from 5 to 6. We will be discussing our classroom procedures and other school related topics. I believe that collaboration between parent and teacher is extremely important so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for entrusting your child with me for the upcoming school year. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
