About Me

I have a Bachelors of Science in Horticulture from Southeastern Louisiana University. I have a Masters of Secondary Education from Texas State University with a Life Science certification.
Before moving to Texas, I lived in Covington, LA which is 40 miles north of New Orleans. I worked at Delgado Community College as a Lab Assistant in the Horticulture department. While working there, I discovered my love for the education field. I enjoy gardening, learning about native plant use in the landscape, sustainable agriculture, and learning about medical sciences.
I love spending time with my husband (Harrie), four year old son (Sam), and our new daughter (Laura) that was born at the end of May. We have: two dogs, Stacy the beagle and Charlie the dachshund, and two cats (Jacob and Macbeth). I am excited to be able to share my love of science with my students.
