Teacher Bio. Brief

I teach Government, and AP Government here at Cedar Park High School. I also chair the Social Studies Department. A Texas native, I was raised in the small town of Sweeny, located about sixty miles southwest of Houston along the Gulf Coast. I am an alumna of Mount Holyoke College and also have studied overseas in both Spain and Germany. Later, I lived in Washington, DC, for many years where I worked in Congressional politics and communications in the U.S. House of Representatives. After moving into the realm of education, I taught in New York City and on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. I am thrilled to be back “home” in the Lone Star State and am especially glad to be here at Cedar Park High School. When I’m not at school, I enjoy music, dancing, movies, reading, travel, cooking, and spending time with my English bulldog, my husband, and my two young sons!
