We have a Hordes of the Things tournament at the start of every year, organised by Euan.
While these rules are designed for Fantasy, I think they give a better game than the more historical DBA which they spawned from.
However, I still fail to see the point in wasting time working on 'proper' fantasy armies or any of that made up nonsense when there are so many interesting historic periods to explore, so I am sticking to historic themes with tweaks for my HoTT armies.
I also plan on doing one each year, to increase the pool of armies available for any new players who come along.
Humour is a key note in these guys where possible, that and a quick way to sate a need to do a project in something nagging away in the back of my mind.
One of the things I have noticed of late, is that I keep forgetting the points values for HOTT - which is a nuissance when you can plan out a new army in half an hour.
