I was born a "Creative" in 1955. My grandmother presented me with my first sketch book before I was five. As a young girl I began sewing doll clothes from cloth I found in the rag bin and buttons I "borrowed" from my mother's button collection. I used acorns, leaves and anything else I could find to create works of art! I was playing with oil paints by the age of ten, and always I was drawing, drawing, drawing. In high school I had my first real art instruction and fell in love with watercolor. I had dreams of going to art school and going into commercial art. Fate chose another path.
However, I found ways to be creative, teaching myself sewing, crocheting and cooking skills to create treasures to give as gifts, including my own greeting cards.
I have been a professional artist offering my services to the local community, which has resulted in my works being found in private collections around the world. These days I enjoy creating projects for my own enjoyment and personal enrichment.
