joins 27, 000 school nationwide in the Pennies for Patients Campaign.Beginning today, 1/17/17 through 1/30/17, we
will help children who are sick with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, and
All you have to do is
collect coins or dollars and put them in your collection box.When your collection box gets full, turn in
your money to your teacher to put the money you’ve collected in the classroom
box.You may reuse your box throughout
the 2 weeks.All money is due by Jan. 30th.
If our school reaches
our goal of $1500, our school Administrators will dress up as clowns for the
day and the top earner for each grade group (PreK-2 & 3-5) will get to

Wed. 1/18/17—We encourage everyone to wear Orange, which is the ribbon color
for Leukemia Awareness
Fri. 1/20/17—“Hats off to our Cancer Survivors” Students & Staff can pay a
quarter to wear a hat to school
1/24/17—“Team up against Leukemia” Students & Staff can pay a quarter to
wear their favorite team jersey/shirt
1/27/17—“Hugs for friends with Cancer”Students can pay a quarter to bring their favorite stuffed animal with
them to school on this day.
Safe Routes to School is a program through LCPS that encourages children to walk or ride there bikes to school. The program promotes good health and reduced traffic around school while providing supervision of a trained adult leader. Walk and Roll Fridays will begin on Friday, August 26! Everyone will meet at Apodaca Park at 7:30 am. Please be safe and wear a helmet, if you are planning on rolling to school.
