  • Pennies For Patients

This week our school joins 27, 000 school nationwide in the Pennies for Patients Campaign.  Beginning today, 1/17/17 through 1/30/17, we will help children who are sick with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.

All you have to do is collect coins or dollars and put them in your collection box.  When your collection box gets full, turn in your money to your teacher to put the money you’ve collected in the classroom box.  You may reuse your box throughout the 2 weeks.  All money is due by Jan. 30th.

If our school reaches our goal of $1500, our school Administrators will dress up as clowns for the day and the top earner for each grade group (PreK-2 & 3-5) will get to throw a pie in their face!!

If your class comes in 1st place for donating the most amount of money, they will win a class party!!

Additionally, we will participate in the following:

    •  This Wed. 1/18/17—We encourage everyone to wear Orange, which is the ribbon color for Leukemia Awareness
    • This Fri. 1/20/17—“Hats off to our Cancer Survivors” Students & Staff can pay a quarter to wear a hat to school
    • Tues. 1/24/17—“Team up against Leukemia” Students & Staff can pay a quarter to wear their favorite team jersey/shirt
    • Fri. 1/27/17—“Hugs for friends with Cancer”  Students can pay a quarter to bring their favorite stuffed animal with them to school on this day.

Please help us by sending whatever you can.

    Thank you,

    Carla S. Ragan, Principal
