The Student Organization for Developing Attitudes is a mentoring program through which select high school students teach character-building lessons to fourth graders in Louisa County. Membership is highly regarded and very competitive.  9th-11th grade students may apply for SODA beginning in February for the upcoming school year.  Applicants are selected based on exemplary grades, attendance, and behavior, teacher recommendations, and a personal interview.
In addition to teaching fourth graders, SODA members are involved in service projects that are requested of them as well as fundraising for t-shirts so that each 4th grader is given a t-shirt.
