CALL FOR PAPERS

The Memphis Undergraduate Philosophy Circle announces its annual undergraduate conference. Keeping with the vast tradition of Philosophy, we accept papers on all topics, new traditions and old. Given the broad field of topics, we encourage everyone who participates to have an open mind and a desire to learn about the ideas and interests of fellow undergraduate philosophers.

The undergraduate conference will be held at Rhodes College, in conjunction with the Midsouth Philosophy Conference, giving undergraduates the opportunity to participate in the larger philosophical community.

Conference Style:

Papers selected for presentation by the conference committee may be read aloud, paraphrased, or otherwise presented with or without the use of aids (PowerPoint, whiteboard, etc.). Presentations should be limited to 20 minutes, in order to give adequate time for questions and discussions.

Submission Guidelines:

Papers must:

(1) be 3000 words or less

(2) include a cover letter stating:

the author's name

the author's college or university

the author's email address

Email papers to Cathy Wilhelm at cwilhelm@memphis.edu.

There is no fee for the conference. However, papers must be received by March 1 in order to be considered.
