PADAL15

Workshop on Programming Abstractions for Data Locality (PADAL'15)

The goal of the workshop is to identify
common themes and standardize concepts for locality-preserving abstractions for exsacale programming models. The first PADAL workshop, held last year in Lugano-Switzerland, compiled an exploratory report contributed by all 30+ participants to define challenges and open research areas on data locality.

This year’s workshop will be more focused towards what action items various participants can undertake in order to advance the state-of-the-art in directions that are mostly likely to maximize the HPC community benefiting from the advancements. In addition, the desired outcome of the workshop is to convert the the state-of-the-art into a short survey paper.
