Bordeaux is the largest city of the Aquitaine Region in South-West of France. It is known worldwide for its vineyards, chateaux,  gastronomy and historical places.

Getting there

Bordeaux hosts an international airport (BOD) with connections to major cities in Europe as well as Paris and other cities in France. It is also directly connected to Paris by the high-speed TGV train.

Accommodation

We recommend that you book a hotel in downtown Bordeaux. You will enjoy the UNESCO world heritage site (see https://www.bordeaux-tourism.co.uk/) with public transportation to the workshop location.

Public transportation

Streetcar "Tram B" station "Bethanie" is very close to the Inria building. The ride from downtown is about 20min (towards Pessac).

Going from the airport to downtown is easy (Bus 1 + Tram A, Airport shuttle, or taxi).

If going from the airport to the workshop location at Inria by taxi, ask to go to Inria / University of Bordeaux, Science and Technology department (25 minutes and 35€). Public transportation from the airport to Inria  requires Flexo bus 48 to Pessac Centre followed by streetcar line B up to Bethanie station.
