HENYEY cluster is part of the UCB Supercluster (CalHPC) and shares the same Supercluster infrastructure. This includes the system management software, software module farm, scheduler, storage and backend network management.
HENYEY cluster has a mixture of different CPU architectures and memory configurations so please be aware of them and choose them accordingly along with the scheduler configurations. Compute nodes are connected with each other through a high performance QLogic 12800 40 Gbps QDR Director Infiniband switch.
HENYEY uses One Time Password (OTP) for login authentication.
HENYEY cluster uses SLURM as the scheduler to manage jobs on the cluster. To use the HENYEY resource the partition "henyey" must be used ("--partition=henyey"). One of the QoSs from the following table should be used as well (e.g., "--qos=small"). A standard fair-share policy with a decay half life value of 14 days (2 weeks) is enforced.
HENYEY uses Environment Modules to manage the cluster wide software installation.
