Travel: Domestic
These travel forms are internal to ESDR, and do not replace TREX.
We ask that you enlist the assistance of your ESDR travel arranger for ALL travel processing:
authorizations, expense reports, domestic and foreign travel.
Some basic guidance:
Domestic travel is travel conducted within the United States and its territories.
A travel authorization is required for all domestic travel.
If you are traveling to a conference, make sure to complete our Attending a Meeting or Conference form first. A travel authorization cannot be submitted until you have conference approval.
Domestic travel expenses can include lodging, and MI&E.
Your travel arranger can assist you with reservations for airfare, hotel and car.
We must always travel using the allowable airfare mandated by GSA. If you book your own tickets, please be careful not to exceed this amount as you may not get reimbursed for the difference if you go above the allowable. If needed, contact esdradmin@lbl.gov for guidance.
Here's how it works:
Please provide basic information about your trip using the form to the right.
This form is used for in-person and virtual conference travel requests.
You may use the form to either submit information for a travel authorization or an expense report.
If more information is necessary, someone from the ESDR Admin Team will contact you.
To remember:
For conference travel, conference approval is still required before funds can be committed. Make sure to fill out our Attending a Meeting or Conference form first.
