  • Bug resulting in some electricity charts and exported data being labeled kBtu corrected
August 7, 2014
  • Completed adaptations to recent EPA changes in Portfolio Manager APIs for importing data to EnergyIQ, and corrected issues that impeded importation of all meter data and properly calendarizing data from non-coincident billing periods
  • Updates to Portfolio Manager import page instructions

July 26, 2014
  • All filters now have default settings
  • Users can now navigate backwards during the benchmarking process and not lose previous selections
  • Improved tool-tip information throughout the site
  • Bug fixed that was causing economic benchmarks (e.g., $/sf) to be too low
  • Bug causing Nursing Facilities and Elementary Schools to sometimes be paired together has been fixed
April 22, 2014
  • Users can now import building data that they have previously entered into the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
  • Users can now benchmark themselves against other users of EnergyIQ (previously peer groups could only be drawn from the CEUS and CBECS databases).
  • Users can now benchmark a single building exclusively against their own portfolio of buildings.
  • Users can now add a larger number of building “features”, which facilitates more accurate peer-group definitions.
  • The peer group definition user interface is now much easier to use (slider bars for key inputs), and users can now specify custom ranges (e.g. vintage bands), no longer limited to pre-set blocks.
  • New filters allow for more relevant peer-group definition, including hours of occupancy, type of building certification (e.g. Energy Star, LEED, etc...), whether a building is an existing building or is design stage.
  • We now offer a downloadable input form, which makes it easier for users to assemble data before starting their web session.
  • Source energy conversion factors have been updated.
January 8, 2014
  • Users can now filter their peer groups by hours of occupancy for California peer-group data sets and occupancy and building ownership: private v government for the US peer-group datasets (previously only size, vintage, and location)
  • Recommendations now available on ACT tab for buildings anywhere in the US (previously just California)
  • A significantly extended set of metrics has been added.  All prior benchmarks (energy, cost, carbon) were per unit floor area. Now users can also benchmark per employee for any building type, per seating for food service, per student for schools, per patient beds for hospitals, and per guest room for lodging building types.
  • Buildings can now be removed from benchmark charts, reducing the effort required to compare benchmarks for multiple buildings
  • Numerous improvements in the user interface and usability
December 4, 2013
  • Major enhancements to the My Buildings > Features input screens, including roman-shade layout for easier navigation, improved wording and organization
  • Big usability improvements to the My Buildings > Energy-use input screens, including: (a) added ability to enter multiple time periods plus easy scrolling now between periods and (b) easy editing and deletion of existing energy streams.
  • Added on-site electricity generation as new type of "Energy Stream"
  • Track dashboard page now lists top 5 and bottom five buildings, sorted by distance from target
  • Peer group assigned to a user's building can now be changed within the My Buildings area, either at the "Building Details" or "Peer Group" screens
  • Clicking on the thumbnails on the Track page dashboard now opens the associated detailed benchmarking charts
  • Problems with energy conversion factors corrected
  • Issue with features not saving resolved
  • Browser compatibility issues with Chrome addressed
  • Several new and improved tool-tips
September 6, 2013
  • Peak electricity now available in MyBuildings inputs!
  • API now returns the specific bin values for the benchmark charts (not just the cumulative results).

  • Bug resulting in problems with auto-calculated end-use defaults in MyBuildings> Energy Use page corrected
September 2, 2013
  • The "My Buildings" area can now be reached directly from the home page (after login)
  • Rather than defaulting to kBTU/sq ft-y, benchmarking metric units now kept constant when:
    1) switching between CEUS and CBECS
    2) switching between metric or feature
    3) switching to or from peak electricity metric
