JUNE 19 - 23, 2017

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
Berkeley, CA

The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) will measure the effect of dark energy on the expansion of the universe.  It will obtain optical spectra for tens of millions of galaxies and quasars, constructing a 3-dimensional map spanning the nearby universe to 10 billion light years.

DESI will host its annual collaboration meeting at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab from June 19-23, 2017.  The plenary sessions will include status of the construction, plans for installation, commissioning, science validation and operations, and reports from the science working groups.  Each of these topics will be the focus of more detailed discussion in the breakout sessions.  The main meeting will open on June 19 at 9 am in the Auditorium of Building 50 and close on the afternoon of June 22.  Breakout sessions will continue on June 23 as needed.
