Coherent X-Ray Scattering of Complex Multifunctional Materials

COSMIC (Coherent Scattering and Microscopy) is a new beamline at the Advanced Light Source. The beamline has two branches: COSMIC (Scattering): for performing coherent x-ray scattering (including xpcs, speckle metrology and imaging) and COSMIC (Imaging): for high resolution imaging. The scattering workshop will bring together experts interested in using resonantly tuned coherent soft x-rays to study interface and bulk hard condensed matter systems. A wide range of topics encompassing coherent x-rays that include dynamics, imaging and electronic or magnetic heterogeneity will be discussed. Related techniques of resonant x-ray scattering and ultrafast dynamics (pump-probe measurements) will also be discussed.
