Counseling Small Groups

     
                    Lanier Middle School Small Groups is a time where students sign
                    up through a student needs assessment at the beginning of the 
                    year to give the counselor's an idea of what their needs are. 
                    Counselors then collect the data and form small group depending
                    on student needs.  The Counseling Department incorporates the
                    following skills in each group to help promote student growth:
                    Courage, Authenticity, Service, Truthfulness, Love, and
                    Effectiveness. The following groups will be held this year to best
                    serve student needs.

    Family Changes

    Study Skills
    Friendship/Social Skills
    Stress Management 
    Resiliency/Behavior Management

    Girl's Group

    Guy's Group

    Attendance

    Leadership
     
    Groups will be held during Extended Learning time in order to keep students in their academics and connection classes. Parent Permission is required for small group partcipation. Please see the parent permission form attached.
