 Lanier Middle School Counseling Mission

Our mission in the Lanier Middle School Counseling Department is to provide services that will support and enhance academics, career knowledge, and personal growth and development of ALL students. Services offered are tailored to assist students in meeting their personal goals while maintaining the high standards of Gwinnett County School System. School counselors are professional school advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement. In partnership with other educators, parents or guardians and the community, school counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students at Lanier Middle have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of society.

Lanier Middle School Counseling Vision

Aligned with Lanier Middle School and Gwinnett County Public Schools vision, the counseling department is committed in being a professional learning school in the hopes of becoming an exemplary school. Through the use of core curriculum guidance, small group interventions, and individual student planning, we create world-class programs where students acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful as they continue their education at the postsecondary level and/or enter the workforce.
