Sheley Station, or Sheeleys and Sheleys was north of Hamilton in Section 28 of Fairfield Township. It was a stop on the Louisville, Cincinnati & Dayton Railroad on land owned by Daniel Sheley. It also was on the Miami-Erie Canal, near the present junction of Canal and Headgates roads. Ice ponds and icehouses nearby relied on the canal for transporting their products to Hamilton and Cincinnati. Some references spelled it Sheeley instead of Sheley.
