Sebald Park

Sebald Park, or Weber W. Sebald Park, 5580 Elk Creek Road, Madison Twp., began in 1965 when Middletown purchased the land for park use. George Crout said "eventually it grew into a park of about 800 acres with an adjoining Weatherwax Golf Course to the south." Crout said it was named Aug. 1, 1966, "in honor of one of the men, a former Armco president and scion of a noted local family, who donated money for the planning of the park." It is west of Middletown, off Ohio 122, along Elk Creek Road. The park is adjacent to the Great Butler County Mound. In 2003, MetroParks of Butler County reported the park area at 267 acres.
