Midway was listed as a station or stop on the Cincinnati, Indianapolis & Western Railroad (now the CSX Hamilton-Indianapolis line). It was 2.2 miles west of the Hamilton station and seven-tenths of a mile west of the Belt Line Junction between present Millville and Kenworth avenues. That would place Midway north of Millville Avenue in Millikin Woods between the dead ends of Washington Boulevard. The origin of the name is unknown. It is possible that it marked the approximate midway point of the steep railroad grade from Hamilton to McGonigle. According to research by Jim O'Dell of the Cincinnati Railroad Club, there was a 14-car passing siding on the CI&W at Midway, milepost 27.58
