Marsh Lake

Marsh Lake or Thomas O. Marsh Lake is a 28-acre recreation area, highlighting fishing, leased by the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Board. Since the 1950s, Dravo Basic Materials Co. Inc. has mined gravel on a 150-acre tract east of River Road and north of John Gray Road. The recreation portion was known as Dravo Lake until 1995, when it was renamed in honor of the late Thomas O. Marsh, a former Fairfield police chief, Fairfield mayor and a member of the city's parks and recreation board.
