Langstroth Cottage

Langstroth Cottage at 303 Patterson Avenue, Oxford, was the home of "the Oxford Bee Man" for 29 years. Dr. Lorenzo Langstroth, a student of the honeybee, resided in the cottage from 1858 until 1887. He is regarded as the father of modern beekeeping and was the inventor of the movable comb hive.
