Four Mile Creek Park

Four Mile Creek Park, along Four Mile Creek at the west end of Four Mile Creek Road in Hanover Township, was the first park in the Butler County Park District (since renamed MetroParks of Butler County). It opened in 1956 and "was dropped from the park system in the late 1970s," said Michael J. Muska, director-secretary of MetroParks. "The park was leased on a yearly basis, and the park board felt it would be better to use our funds for areas we either owned or leased on a longer term basis."
