Founder's Park in Trenton

Founder's Park in Trenton was dedicated Nov. 10, 1996, on the site of a former gasoline service station. The half-acre park is at the intersection of West State Street and Miami Avenue. It was created on the site of the original home of Michael Pearce, an early settler in Bloomfield (later Trenton). She claimed the land in 1799 and built on the tract in 1801. (See entries for Bloomfield and Trenton.)
