Dickey's Mill

Dickey's Mill was on Dick's Creek at the Great Miami River, near Amanda. Adam Dickey, a native of Ireland, built a mill and distillery there. He had purchased about 460 acres in Lemon Township and resided there until his death in 1828. A son, Samuel Dickey, who had been associated with his father, took over direction of the mill and distillery, known as the Amanda Mills.
