Butler County Peace Officer Memorial is located at 705 Hanover Street, Hamilton, in front of the Butler County Sheriff's Office Operational Headquarters and Correctional Center. The memorial was dedicated May 15, 2002, National Police Officer's Memorial Day. The sheriff's complex was dedicated June 21, 2002. The memorial includes a wall with names of officers killed in the line of duty and a sculpture of an officer. The sculpture was designed by Andrea Myklebust and Stanton G. Sears of Minneapolis, who also designed the Hamilton Gateway. The memorial, built with private contributions, was sponsored by the Butler County Board of Commissioners and the Butler County Sheriff's Office.
