First Performance National Day of Celebration!

You are cordially invited to our First Performance National Day of Celebration!

It gives us great joy to announce our First Performance National Day of Celebration, a short demonstration concert featuring this year’s Lamphere Fifth Grade Band, scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2018. Our performance will be held at Lamphere High School, in the auditorium. This is an exciting event that you won’t want to miss. Students will demonstrate what has been learned up to this point and your attendance will help motivate them to perform at their very best.

We also want to look our best for our First Performance! Boys should wear a white dress shirt and dark dress pants, with black shoes. You may add a tie or sweater if you wish. Girls should wear a white top, dark skirt or pants, and black shoes. A dark colored dress would be fine as well. Students must arrive by 6:30 for seating, and should meet in the Lamphere High School Cafeteria.

Our First Performance will begin at 7:00 and the entire presentation should last approximately 20-30 minutes. Refreshments will be served immediately following the program and certificates will be presented to each student musician to celebrate this major achievement.

Please join us and bring all of your friends and family members. Also, be sure that your device is fully charged as there will be many opportunities to take photos and record videos so that you and your child can enjoy this special moment for many years to come.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our First Performance National Day of Celebration!

Parents of future Fifth Grade Band members!

Attached to this post you will find a few documents that are circulating to all fifth grade students this week. One is a letter sent home the first week of class, explaining our band offering, and important dates to follow. Second is the letter that all students will receive as they test instruments this week, with a few more details on how to obtain instruments, and other matters. The letter they receive in school will include their choice of instrument, should they choose to enroll in band.

Please contact either of the band directors with any questions you might have. We hope to see you in band soon!
